A reminder to all WBG members about the 21st ANNUAL WOMEN'S FAIR coming up on November 7th/09 at the Carleton Place Arena. This is a major event in town that showcases women’s businesses and is a benefit for Lanark County Interval House.

The theme this year is Femmes n’Fams – to honour the women and families who have been supported by Interval House over the past 30 years, as well as to acknowledge the fact that women’s businesses need family support in order to be successful. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever. We are growing and will be expanding into a 2nd hall, and will offer seminars on topics of interest to women, a cake raffle, and an art display/sale featuring local artists. This is in addition to our usual hourly door prizes, silent auction, children’s corner, fishpond and lunch cafĂ©.

There are several ways you might be part of the event. All of the options are tax deductible.

1) BEING A SPONSOR FOR THE EVENT - There are two levels – GOLD ($200) and SILVER ($100). In return for your GOLD sponsorship, you receive two chances of winning our travel package (draw for sponsors only), while a SILVER sponsorship has one chance of winning our package. At the moment this package includes 4 roundtrip VIA RAIL tickets to Toronto; as well as a hotel stay at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. The sponsors will be listed in all our radio, newspaper, and web advertising, and your logo will be visible on a street banner in Carleton Place for several weeks before the event.

2) BEING A SEMINAR SPEAKER - We will be providing 20 minute seminar presentations for women…so perhaps you might do a talk on a topic of interest to you and other women.

3) PROVIDING AN ITEM FOR OUR SILENT AUCTION - Do you have a product that you would like to donate for our auction?

4) BEING AN EXHIBITOR – Would you like a Leads-only table or will you sell product at the fair? Leads-only tables cost $50 for the day. A few non-profit tables are available at $20 plus 5% of your sales given as a donation to LCIH at the end of the day. If you are selling product, the cost would be $40 for the day, plus 10% of your sales given as a donation to LCIH at the end of the day.

So you can see there are lots of ways to get involved, and we would love to have you participate.
The Women’s Fair is a wonderful opportunity to network with other local businesswomen and it is a fun day that benefits a good cause.

If you need any more details, do not hesitate to give me a call.

Thank you Cynthia for setting up this blog. I think this is a great way for us to become more acquainted with each others businesses. As women we are always sharing where we have purchased this or that.

I am so grateful I said "yes" to Isagenix myself. It has transformed my life - my health. My first interest was to shed the unwanted stubborn middle that is so hard to get rid of after 40. Politely called the after 40 fluff : ) To my amazement my energy increased and my afternoon cravings disappeared, with the side benefit of releasing 17 pounds and 21 inches. I love to share this amazing experience with others. My yes has already transformed many lives. How far will my yes go??
